Softball Game Preview: Calhoun Red Devils vs. Roane County Raiders

Calhoun is 0-10 against Roane County since March of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. Calhoun will look to defend their home field against Roane County at 5:00 p.m. Calhoun has given up an average of 12.8 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Calhoun is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They took a 15-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of South Harrison on Saturday.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Roane County was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They lost 17-2 to South Williamsport.

Roane County saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lexi Mitchell, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Calhoun's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Roane County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Calhoun might still be hurting after the 15-1 defeat they got from Roane County when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Calhoun avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
