The Stroudsburg Mountaineers were the 59-42 winner over the Pocono Mountain East Cardinals when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Stroudsburg took a 64-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pocono Mountain East on Wednesday.

Pocono Mountain East can attribute much of their success to Taemus Jones, who scored 24 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Jones has scored at least 25% of Pocono Mountain East's points. Khaden Daley was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.

Stroudsburg's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Pocono Mountain East, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Stroudsburg will take on Easton Area at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Pocono Mountain East, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Pleasant Valley at 7:00 p.m.
