Basketball Recap: Winneconne Takes a Loss

Winneconne lost against Waupun back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Winneconne Wolves were dealt a 72-31 loss at the hands of the Waupun Warriors. The matchup marked the Wolves' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Winneconne has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Waupun, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winneconne will square off against Ripon at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Winneconne is facing Ripon at the right time seeing as Ripon is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Waupun, they are taking a road trip to take on Berlin at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Berlin knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Waupun likes a good challenge.
