Basketball Recap: Wallace Takes a Loss

Wallace was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a 48-33 bruising from the Hitchcock County Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 74-42 last Friday.

Hitchcock County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madysen Carlson, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and 12 boards. Carlson has become a key player for Hitchcock County: the team is 4-2 when she posts at least ten rebounds, but 6-10 otherwise. Raegan Hagan was another key player, putting up 13 points and four steals.

Wallace's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Hitchcock County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-12.

Wallace does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hitchcock County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 56-31 loss against Dundy County-Stratton on the 21st.
