Recap: Juab Wasps vs. North Sanpete Hawks
There's no place like home for The Juab Wasps, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They blew past North Sanpete 41-13 at home. Juab pushed the score to 34-13 by the end of the third, a deficit North Sanpete had little chance of recovering from.
Among those leading the charge was Austin Park, who rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 95 yards and a touchdown. Jaden Heap was another key contributor, rushing for 95 yards on only six carries.
Juab's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. The heavy lifting was done by Kody Brandon and Keagan Hall who racked up five sacks between them.
Despite the loss, North Sanpete saw an underclassman step up: Ty Pringle picked up 110 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Juab's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-5. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 29 points. As for North Sanpete, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.
Juab will face off against Manti at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Manti is ranked 47th, while Juab is ranked 69th). North Sanpete does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
