Volleyball Recap: Northwest Grizzlies vs. McPherson Bullpups
On Saturday, the Northwest Grizzlies didn't have quite enough to beat the McPherson Bullpups and fell 2-1.
Northwest actually scored more points across those three sets (69-59), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 9-25, 25-21.
Despite the loss, Northwest had strong showings from Reese Johnson, who had 11 digs, and Isabel Santiago-Morrison, who had six digs and two aces. That's the most aces Santiago-Morrison has posted since back in September.
Northwest's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-7. As for McPherson, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Buhler the next time they take the court. Northwest will head out to face Buhler at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, while McPherson will play them later in the day, at 5:00 p.m.
