Soccer Recap: Westview Comes Up Short

Westview came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-0 to the Omaha South Packers. While losing is never fun, Westview can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska soccer rankings (they are ranked 60th, while Omaha South are ranked third).

Westview has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Omaha South, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 12-2.

Westview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Omaha South, they will take on Bellevue West at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bellevue West will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Omaha South surely won't give up without a fight.
