Basketball Recap: D'Arbonne Woods Takes a Loss

D'Arbonne Woods lost against Sterlington back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. D'Arbonne Woods fell 67-55 to the Sterlington Panthers.

Cooper Nelson was his usual excellent self, shooting 7-for-13 from beyond the arc and dropping a double-double with 34 points and 11 boards for Sterlington. The matchup was Nelson's 13th in a row with at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Gaven Evans, who posted ten points and eight rebounds.

D'Arbonne Woods' loss dropped their record down to 19-12. As for Sterlington, their win bumped their record up to 13-17.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. D'Arbonne Woods will square off against Caldwell Parish at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. D'Arbonne Woods is facing Caldwell Parish at the right time seeing as Caldwell Parish is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Sterlington, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers challenge the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
