Soccer Game Preview: Northeast vs. Springfield

The Northeast Eagles will take on the Springfield Yellow Jackets at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.

Northeast is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to four goals last Tuesday, they were much more limited against Hunters Lane on Friday. They lost 4-1 to the Warriors. The loss continues a trend for Northeast in their meetings with Hunters Lane: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Springfield has been on a difficult stretch since their win on March 11. They and West Creek finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Thursday. The win was some much needed relief for Springfield as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Northeast's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. Springfield's draw makes their record 1-10-3 this season.

Everything went Northeast's way against Springfield in their previous meeting last Tuesday, as Northeast made off with a 4-1 victory. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Yellow Jackets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
