Basketball Recap: Schalick Comes Up Short

Schalick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 45-43 heartbreaker at the hands of the Haddon Township Hawks. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 400th, while the Hawks are ranked 172nd).

Schalick's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Haddon Township, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.

Schalick will square off against Overbrook at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Haddon Township has already played their next match (against Pennsville Memorial), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
