Baseball Game Preview: Brevard HEAT Firehawks vs. Bayside Bears

Brevard HEAT hasn't had much luck against Bayside recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Firehawks will face off against the Bears at 6:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Brevard HEAT's offense. They came up short against St. Edward's on Tuesday, falling 11-0. The Firehawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Brevard HEAT saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Kusky, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Bayside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 12-1 to Melbourne Central Catholic. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Bears have suffered against the Hustlers since April 27, 2022.

Bayside's loss dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Brevard HEAT, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-13.

Brevard HEAT might still be hurting after the 15-1 loss they got from Bayside in their previous meeting back in February. Can the Firehawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
