Volleyball Recap: Head-Royce Takes a Loss

Head-Royce's tournament run continued when they took on Elk Grove on Saturday. The Head-Royce Jayhawks fell just short of the Elk Grove Thundering Herd by a score of 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Head-Royce sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 22-25, 25-8.

Head-Royce's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Elk Grove, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.

Head-Royce wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 loss against Las Lomas on the 11th. As for Elk Grove, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Dougherty Valley on the 8th.
