Baseball Recap: Five Straight Home Victories for Plymouth

Plymouth made up a huge gap compared to their last game against South Central, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Big Red were the clear victors by a 12-6 margin over the Trojans on Monday. The match marked the Big Red's most dominant win of the season so far.

The team relied heavily on Lex Grose, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with seven RBI and one double. That double was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Daesean Winfield, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Plymouth pushed their record up to 3-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for South Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
