Weslaco came tearing into Thursday's contest with 14 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.2 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Los Fresnos Falcons. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Falcons, too.

Weslaco's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-10. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Los Fresnos, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-15-1 record this season.
