Soccer Game Preview: Matanzas vs. Flagler Palm Coast

Matanzas hasn't had much luck against Flagler Palm Coast recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Matanzas Pirates are taking a road trip to challenge the Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m.

Matanzas is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to six goals last Friday, they were much more limited against Seminole on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Seminoles.

Meanwhile, Flagler Palm Coast kept a clean sheet against Menendez on Monday. Everything went their way against the Falcons as they made off with a 6-0 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by four goals or more this season.

Flagler Palm Coast is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those five games. As for Matanzas, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-3.

Matanzas suffered a grim 8-0 defeat to Flagler Palm Coast in their previous matchup back in January. Can Matanzas avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
