Baseball Game Preview: East Valley Red Devils vs. Othello Huskies

The East Valley Red Devils will venture away from home to challenge the Othello Huskies at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with East Valley sitting on eight straight wins and Othello on five.

On Tuesday, East Valley made easy work of Ephrata and carried off an 11-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Red Devils, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.

East Valley got a massive performance out of Andrew McDaniel, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Brandon Stone was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Othello). They blew past Quincy 19-1 on Tuesday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Huskies with their most commanding win of the season.

East Valley's record now sits at 10-1. As for Othello, their record is now 8-2.

East Valley couldn't quite get it done against Othello when the teams last played back in May of 2025 as they fell 7-2. Can the Red Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
