Baseball Recap: Denver South Takes a Loss

Denver South entered their game against Northfield on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Ravens took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nighthawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Ravens of the 5-3 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Denver South and nudges their season record down to 6-4. As for Northfield, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Denver South and Northfield should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Colorado Rankings. The Ravens will face off against Littleton at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday with a big rank advantage (95 vs. 206). Meanwhile, Northfield (ranked ninth) will meet Overland (ranked 215th) at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
