Basketball Recap: Meadowdale Takes a Loss

Meadowdale entered their contest against Wayne on Saturday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Meadowdale Lions were dealt a 70-41 defeat at the hands of the Wayne Warriors. If the Lions were looking for revenge after losing 71-55 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Wayne's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Myles Perkins, who went 6 of 9 en route to 15 points. Jay'Sean Price was another key player, going 6 for 11 on his way to 15 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Meadowdale and nudges their season record down to 6-9. As for Wayne, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.

Meadowdale didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 60-47 victory against Belmont on the 28th. Wayne has also already played their next game, a 59-55 loss against Beavercreek on the 28th.
