Sycamore gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over the Hononegah Indians. The Spartans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Indians, too.

Evan Munch looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Davis Collie was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Another player making a difference was Adam Eder, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Sycamore lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

The victory got Sycamore back to even at 2-2. As for Hononegah, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sycamore will head out to face off against Yorkville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hononegah, they will venture away from home to square off against Jacobs at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
