Soccer Recap: Elizabethton Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Elizabethton lost against Dobyns-Bennett back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Fighting Cyclones came up short against the Indians, falling 6-1. While losing is never fun, Elizabethton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 157th, while Dobyns-Bennett are ranked 43rd).

Elizabethton's goal came courtesy of Connor Blevins, who's now up to four this season.

Elizabethton's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-5-2. As for Dobyns-Bennett, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elizabethton will host Sullivan East at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Dobyns-Bennett, they will square off against Daniel Boone at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
