Football Game Preview: Buffalo Bison vs. Arp Tigers

For the first time this season, Buffalo will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They are taking a road trip to square off against the Arp Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Buffalo has given up an average of 42 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Buffalo is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Fairfield last Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Bison were dealt a 63-21 defeat at the hands of the Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Bison can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 918th, while the Eagles are ranked 345th).

Meanwhile, after soaring to 61 points the game before, Arp was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They had to suffer through a 42-6 loss at the hands of Troup. Arp has struggled against Troup recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Having lost for the first time this season, Arp fell to 4-1. As for Buffalo, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.

Buffalo took a serious blow against Arp in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 61-8. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Tigers' Zane Bourque, who rushed for 167 yards and two TDs on only ten carries, and also threw for 133 yards and one touchdown. Now that the Bison know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
