After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Roxboro Community, Person was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They skirted past the Southern Alamance Patriots 10-9. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Rockets considering their two-run performance the game before.

Macey Bowes made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed seven innings while giving up four earned (and five unearned) runs off eight hits. Those hits were her first of the season. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Madison Snead was a standout: she went 1-for-5 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. Kenzley Horne was another key player, scoring a run while going 3-for-5.

Person's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-4. As for Southern Alamance, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Person will welcome Williams at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Person is facing Williams at the right time seeing as Williams is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Southern Alamance, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Union Pines at 6:00 p.m. Union Pines is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.
