Softball Recap: Hilton Head Island Takes a Loss

Hilton Head Island fell victim to May River and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 13-0 to the Sharks. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Seahawks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Hilton Head Island saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alivia Armistead, who went 1-for-2 with one double. That double marked the first that Armistead hit this season.

Hilton Head Island's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for May River, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.
