It may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Cuero ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They had just enough and edged out the Navarro Panthers 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Gobblers have posted since February 24th.

The team relied heavily on Walker Dietze, who went 2-for-5 with two runs and two RBI.

Cuero is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Navarro, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cuero will welcome San Antonio Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Minutemen have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.45 runs per game on average), something the Gobblers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Navarro, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against La Vernia at 7:00 p.m.
