Westfield and Guerin Catholic are an even 3-3 against one another since March of 2021, but not for long. The Shamrocks will venture away from home to take on the Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Westfield is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Indiana's top teams: Fishers, who was ranked first at the time (Westfield was ranked fourth). The Shamrocks took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers on Thursday. The loss continues a trend for the Shamrocks in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.

Westfield started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-22, 25-16, 25-21.

The losing side was boosted by Graham Weddige, who had 29 assists and six digs.

Meanwhile, Guerin Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to Illiana Christian.

Guerin Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Westfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-4.

Everything went Westfield's way against Guerin Catholic in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Westfield made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Shamrocks since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
