Football Recap: Duncan Wildkats vs. Valley Union Blue Devils

A victory for Duncan just wasn't in the cards on Friday as the team wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They were dealt a 57-14 loss at the hands of the Valley Union Blue Devils. The Wildkats just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Duncan didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of KY COATS and PABLO RUIZ.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Valley Union to victory, but perhaps none more so than Myles Richardson, who rushed for 151 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and also picked up 94 receiving yards and a touchdown. Richardson torched the secondary when he pulled down a catch that went for 85 yards. Another rusher making a difference was Yahir Luna, who rushed for 97 yards and four touchdowns on only seven carries.

Duncan's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Valley Union, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Duncan will venture away from home to challenge Lincoln Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Valley Union, they will welcome Superior at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 957 yards in their previous games.
