Softball Recap: Warren Takes a Loss

Warren extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 11 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-5. They lost 17-4 to the McDowell Trojans. If the Dragons were looking for revenge after losing 16-0 to the Trojans when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for McDowell, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games.

For McDowell's part, Alex Smith was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Smith also hit a double, marking her first of the season. Mya Kaliszewski was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, one double, and one RBI.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Warren will face off against Fort LeBoeuf at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for McDowell, they will square off against Titusville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
