Cross had lost 13 straight headed into Thursday's contest, but Luke Fulda didn't let it get to 14. The Cross Stingrays breezed by Varsity Opponent to the tune of 68-27 on Thursday thanks in part to Fulda, who posted 15 points in addition to eight boards and seven steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.6 steals per game.
The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Nicastro, who went 7 of 11 on his way to 16 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.
Cross' win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-6.
Cross wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 73-45 loss against Curtis Baptist on the 13th. As for Varsity Opponent, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 68-41 defeat against Ovilla Christian on the 12th.
