Softball Game Preview: La Pine Hawks vs. Harrisburg Eagles

La Pine hasn't had much luck against Harrisburg recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Hawks will square off against the Eagles at 2:00 p.m. La Pine has given up an average of 12.2 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

La Pine is headed into Friday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Tuesday. They came up short against Pleasant Hill, falling 16-5.

August Walker made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Nevaeh Martinez, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Harrisburg challenged Elmira on Tuesday. The Eagles fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 7-6. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Harrisburg's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for La Pine, their loss dropped their record down to 4-13.

La Pine skirted past Harrisburg 11-10 when the teams last played two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
