For the second straight game, Cheney will face off against Ferris. Cheney will host Ferris at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cheney is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Cheney gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They skirted past Ferris 7-5. The Blackhawks haven't had any issues with the Saxons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Jace Vega tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk).

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Travis Wiedenmann, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season. Nolan McKinnon was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Cheney now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Ferris, they are on a nine-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.
