Soccer Recap: Smithfield Beats Tabb for Their Fourth Straight Win

Smithfield proved they can win big on Monday (they won by four) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Tabb Tigers. Smithfield's winning goal came courtesy of Paige Rainey.

The win was the fourth in a row for Smithfield, bringing their record up to 8-3. As for Tabb, they moved to 5-4 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Smithfield will challenge New Kent at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. New Kent's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Smithfield's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Tabb, they will square off against York at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
