Recap: Mount St. Mary Rockets vs. McLoud Redskins
The Mount St. Mary Rockets''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 54-13 loss at the hands of McLoud. Mount St. Mary lost against McLoud in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 31-7 score last time.
Coulson Kennedy was a one-man wrecking crew for McLoud as he rushed for 157 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also threw for 26 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Kennedy's longest rush was for an incredible 84 yards. Shaun Hill was in the mix as well, providing McLoud with two touchdowns.
Mount St. Mary's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 11.3 points per game. As for McLoud, their victory bumped their record up to 5-5.
Mount St. Mary does not have any more games scheduled as of now. McLoud also has no future games currently scheduled.
