Baseball Recap: Acadiana Christian Wins Going Away Against Alexandria Homeschool Arts & Athletics

Acadiana Christian's game last Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. Everything went their way against the Alexandria Homeschool Arts & Athletics Storm as the Acadiana Christian Lions made off with a 19-2 victory. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by seven runs or more this season.

Jaxon Oliver made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with six RBI, two stolen bases, and two runs. He also hit a triple, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Isaiah Burch, who scored four runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Decuir, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Acadiana Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .697. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Acadiana Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Alexandria Homeschool Arts & Athletics, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2.
