The biggest upset of the week belonged to Pine Valley Central, who took down 486th ranked Panama, 34-21.
Ellicottville/West Valley Central moved up to 294 from 377 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 6 DD. The Eagles climbed the ranks as a result of besting Franklinville 22-0.
The Panthers' dynamic duo of Sawyer Eggleston and Alec Blose proved tough for the Panthers to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Eggleston threw for 114 yards and Blose had 51 yards receiving. Kelvin Eddy helped Panama's passing attack out by catching two balls for 31 yards.
Jake Wiggers was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 154 yards on 23 carries as Clymer Central fell to Pine Valley Central. Connor Payne also contributed to the rushing game with 53 yards on the ground.
5-foot-9 quarterback Matt DeStevens of the Pirates is the league leader in passing yards this season with 256. He has also thrown two touchdowns. On the ground, Chris Payne's team's Stephen Enlow has rushed for 774 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Eddy. The Panama star has six catches for 133 yards.
A big matchup in Section 6 DD this week will be when the Panthers take on Ellicottville/West Valley Central. At the moment, Panama is in sixth, while Tim Bergan's team is in third.
Clymer Central extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Cassadaga Valley, 22-18. The win marks sixth in a row for the David Bodamer's team.
