Baseball Game Preview: Brewbaker Tech Rams vs. Alabama Christian Academy Eagles

The Brewbaker Tech Rams will challenge the Alabama Christian Academy Eagles at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Brewbaker Tech is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

On Wednesday, Brewbaker Tech came up short against Prattville Christian Academy and fell 8-4.

Josh Mitchell Jr. was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Mitchell Jr. wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Tanner Thornton, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Thornton hit this season.

Meanwhile, Alabama Christian Academy came into Monday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over Trinity Presbyterian on Monday.

Brewbaker Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Alabama Christian Academy, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Brewbaker Tech suffered a grim 15-3 defeat to Alabama Christian Academy in their previous meeting back in March of 2022. Can Brewbaker Tech avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
