Baseball Recap: Brown Find Success

While Brown's win against Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bears had just enough and edged out the Vikings 7-6 on Wednesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bears have posted since May 17, 2025.

Oscar Wright made a big impact no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over 5.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, earning two runs and two stolen bases. He is becoming a predictor of Brown's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 6-1-1 (and 3-5 when he doesn't).

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Elijah Borders, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Brown's win bumped their record up to 9-6-1. As for Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-6 record this season.
