Basketball Recap: Rutland Piles Up the Points Against Pike County

Rutland won the last time they faced Pike County and things went their way on Friday too. The Rutland Hurricanes blew past the Pike County Pirates 75-44. The matchup marked the Hurricanes' most dominant victory of the season.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Rutland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Richard Fisher, who posted 15 points. Nicholas Shines was another key player, putting up 12 points.

The win snapped Rutland's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-11 record. As for Pike County, they dropped their record down to 1-14 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Rutland wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 70-54 victory against Jackson on the 27th. As for Pike County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 55-45 loss against Westside on the 28th.
