Sumner is 10-0 against South Kitsap since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Sumner Spartans are taking a road trip to square off against the South Kitsap Wolves at 7:00 p.m. Sumner knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 contests -- so hopefully South Kitsap likes a good challenge.

On Wednesday, Sumner was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 66-60 to Puyallup. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (58), the Spartans still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, South Kitsap was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 55-42 to Curtis. That's two games in a row now that the Wolves have lost by exactly 13 points.

South Kitsap's defeat dropped their record down to 6-11. As for Sumner, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-6.

Sumner strolled past South Kitsap in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 64-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Sumner since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
