Volleyball Recap: Lucia Flores-Rojas and Katherine Labao Secure Win for Westridge + How To Watch

There's no place like home for Westridge, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Brentwood School Eagles by a score of 3-1 on Friday. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Westridge had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-18, 25-20, 25-23.

Westridge was led to victory by Katherine Labao and Lucia Flores-Rojas. Labao had ten digs and six aces, while Flores-Rojas had 24 digs and six aces. Those 24 digs gave Flores-Rojas a new career-high. Chloe Sim also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

The victory got Westridge back to even at 4-4. As for Brentwood School, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Coming up, Westridge will head out to square off against Flintridge Prep at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Tigers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Brentwood School, they will challenge Malibu at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
