Softball Preview: Gurdon Go-Devils vs. Fordyce Redbugs
Gurdon has enjoyed the comforts of home their last seven games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Fordyce Redbugs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Sadie Griffin put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits (and only one walk). Griffin has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up a single walk every time she's pitched this season. Griffin was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Mollie Cox made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole three bases while going 2-for-4. Goldee McGalliard was another key contributor, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases and an RBI.
