Softball Recap: Bear Creek Extends Winning Streak to Six

Bear Creek put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Tokay Tigers by a score of 4-1. This was payback for the Bruins, who suffered an 11-4 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Natalie Trujillo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one earned run any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.

Trujillo wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Alanah Perry, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Bear Creek hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in three consecutive matches.

Bear Creek's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Tokay, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Coming up, Bear Creek will head out to challenge Edison at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tokay has already played their next game (against Chavez), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
