Recap: Innovation Montessori Panthers vs. Regency Christian Academy Knights
On Friday, Innovation Montessori didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Regency Christian Academy, but they still walked away with a 57-52 win.
Innovation Montessori's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shalom Barnes, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Trevor Thorsen, who scored 23 points.
Innovation Montessori's victory bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Regency Christian Academy, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-5.
Innovation Montessori's road trip will continue as they head out to face First Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. As for Regency Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against Orlando Science at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Orlando Science has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 12.
