Softball Recap: Liberty County Panthers vs. Islands Sharks
Liberty County was the 5-3 winner over Islands when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Liberty County Panthers fell just short of the Islands Sharks by a score of 7-6 on Wednesday.
Kayleigh Barnard put in work no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off six hits. The dominant performance gave her a new career- in batting average. Barnard was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing five bases while going 4-for-5.
