Football Game Preview: Osbourn Park Yellowjackets vs. Freedom Eagles + How To Watch

Osbourn Park hasn't had much luck against Freedom recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Yellowjackets will square off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Osbourn Park has given up an average of 36.2 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Osbourn Park's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Independence on Friday. They were beaten by Independence 35-0. While losing is never fun, the Yellowjackets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia football rankings (they are ranked 245th, while Independence are ranked 68th).

Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Freedom challenged Briar Woods on Friday. The Eagles fell just short of the Falcons by a score of 24-21. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Falcons 7-3 in the first quarter.

Osbourn Park will have to contain Braden Cooke as he made an impact in Freedom's last game. He rushed for 92 yards and a pair of scores on only 12 carries, and also threw for 88 yards and one touchdown. Bo Duong helped out on the ground, rushing for 85 yards.

Freedom suffered their first road defeat, dropping their record down to 4-2. As for Osbourn Park, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

Friday's contest will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Ahmad Bah and Duong. Bah just won't slow down this season and has run in 4 touchdowns while averaging 74 rushing yards per game. Duong has been a dominant force too and has averaged 88.3 rushing yards per game.

Osbourn Park was taken down by Freedom 56-8 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Yellowjackets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
