Football Recap: Tuscaloosa Academy Starts Season with Win on the Road + How To Watch

Tuscaloosa Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the American Christian Academy Patriots 16-14. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Knights also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Tuscaloosa Academy can attribute much of their success to Mark Norris, who threw for 204 yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 48 yards. Those 48 rushing yards gave Norris a new career-high. 93 of Norris' passing yards were hauled in by Mason Corder.

Looking ahead, Tuscaloosa Academy will square off against Pickens County at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for American Christian Academy, they will challenge Northridge at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th.
