Football Recap: Life Oak Cliff Piles Up the Points Against Carter-Riverside + How To Watch

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Life Oak Cliff). They blew past the Carter-Riverside Eagles 80-44 on Friday. Considering the Lions have won three games by more than 35 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

A big part of Life Oak Cliff's win came down to the chemistry between Camren Phillips and his top target Joshua Washington. Phillips threw for 375 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per attempt while Washington gained 254 total yards and five touchdowns. That's the most passing yards Phillips has posted since back in October of 2024. Sukora ' Sip' Cooper Jr also helped out as he racked up 181 receiving yards.

Life Oak Cliff was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 300 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Carter-Riverside's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Deandre Fields, who rushed for 302 yards and three scores while picking up 10.1 yards per carry, and Ryan Walters, who rushed for 156 yards and three TDs while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. With that strong performance, Walters is now averaging an impressive 110.8 rushing yards per game.

The victory made it two in a row for Life Oak Cliff and bumps their season record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.5 points over those games. As for Carter-Riverside, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
