Basketball Recap: Cold Springs Beats Cordova for Their Sixth Straight Victory

Cold Springs had won five straight games and Ella Dickerson did her part to make it six on Monday. The Cold Springs Eagles walked away with a 48-35 victory over the Cordova Blue Devils thanks in part to Dickerson, who posted 23 points. Her evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Paizley Whitlow, who earned five points and seven steals. Those seven steals gave her a new career-high.

Cold Springs' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Cordova, their loss dropped their record down to 8-10.

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Cold Springs Eagles duke it out with the Danville Hawks at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cold Springs is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.5 points per game this season. As for Cordova, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Fultondale at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
