Three quarterbacks join the list: Starkville's Brady Davis, Wren's Kelly Bryant and Charleston's Ty Storey.
Three quarterbacks from the South have been putting up big numbers this season, and they join this week's MaxPreps National Player of the Year Watch.
Kelly Bryant of Wren (S.C.) is among the leading passers in the nation, while Ty Storey of Charleston (Ark.) hit the 10,000-yard milestone this week. Meanwhile Brady Davis has led Starkville into the
Xcellent 25 National Football Rankings.

Jake Browning, Folsom (Calif.)
Folsom's 43 rushing attempts in a 42-7 win over Del Oro (Loomis) was the most rushing attempts by a Bulldog team in the Jake Browning era. As a result, Browning attempted only 25 passes (completing 17) for 223 yards — the third lowest yardage total in his career. Browning can pass former Byrnes quarterback Shuler Bentley on two career lists this week. With 173 career touchdown passes and 13,229 yards passing, Browning can surpass Bentley who had 177 touchdowns and 13,245 yards.
Kyler Murray, Allen (Texas)Murray didn't have to be spectacular for Allen to rack up an easy 49-13 win over Lewisville last week. He completed 11 of 15 passes for 185 yards and three touchdowns and also ran just twice for 51 yards and one score. For the season, Murray has completed 102 of 156 passes for 1,741 yards and 18 touchdowns while rushing 42 times for 559 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Ty Storey, Charleston (Ark.)
The top quarterback prospect in Arkansas has upped his game the past two weeks, throwing for 402 yards two weeks ago and 413 yards last week. For the season, Storey has 1,515 yards and 21 touchdowns with just three interceptions. Storey became the eighth quarterback in Arkansas history to go over 10,000 yards last week. He has 10,216 yards and 122 touchdowns for his career.
Markell Jones, Columbus East (Ind.)In a 62-7 win over Madison (Ind.), Jones had his most productive game of the season as he rushed for 311 yards on 20 carries with eight touchdowns. For the season, Jones has 1,778 yards on 130 carries with 31 touchdowns.
Damien Harris, Madison Southern (Berea, Ky.)
Harris was limited to just 142 yards rushing on 12 carries with three total touchdowns in a 32-26 loss to Southwestern last week. With 1,453 yards rushing on 87 carries and 25 total touchdowns, Harris is all alone in second place for touchdowns scored in Kentucky history with 118 in his career.
Jacques Patrick, Timber Creek (Orlando, Fla.)Patrick spearheaded a 28-21 win over Winter Park as he carried 26 times for 226 yards and two touchdowns, including a run of 70 yards. For the season, Patrick has 1,193 yards on 128 carries with 16 touchdowns.
Kelly Bryant, Wren (Piedmont, S.C.)
Bryant has emerged as one of the leading passers in the country after throwing for at least 350 yards in each of his team's six games this year. His 353-yard effort in a 49-42 win over Daniel last week was actually tied for his lowest yardage total of the season, however he ranks in the top five in the nation with 2,303 yards (143 of 218) and 24 touchdowns.
Elijah Sindelar, Caldwell County (Princeton, Ky.)Heading into this week's contest, Sindelar needs just six touchdown passes to tie Ricky Bowling and Tim Couch for the Kentucky state record for career touchdown passes. Sindelar has thrown for 2,170 yards and 32 touchdowns this year and has 11,198 yards passing and 127 touchdowns in a his career.
Austin Kafentzis, Jordan (Sandy, Utah)
Kafentzis rushed for over 200 yards for the third time this year, gaining 215 yards on 17 carries with three touchdowns in a 48-16 win over West Jordan. Kafentzis has rushed for 1,233 yards and has passed for 2,041. He now ranks fourth all-time in career total yards with 17,591.
Brady Davis, Starkville (Miss.)Starkville recently joined the Xcellent 25 thanks to the play of Davis. In a 42-0 win over Northwest Rankin last week, Davis completed 19 of 22 passes for 290 yards and three touchdowns. His best game of the season is a 411-yard effort in a win over Oxford. For the year, Davis has completed 98 of 152 passes for 1,704 yards and 24 touchdowns.
