Millbrook beats Wake Forest for their third straight win

Recap: Millbrook Wildcats vs. Wake Forest Cougars

The Millbrook Wildcats entered their tilt with the Wake Forest Cougars with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Millbrook skirted past Wake Forest 45-42. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.

Nessiah McArthur was a one-man wrecking crew for Millbrook as he rushed for 208 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries. McArthur really tore up the turf during one magnificent 89-yard run. John Alarcon was another key contributor, rushing for 150 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.

Despite the defeat, Wake Forest had strong showings from Rico Alston, who rushed for 156 yards on only 14 carries, and Kavon Simmons, who threw for 218 yards and two touchdowns.

Millbrook's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Wake Forest, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-4.

Millbrook will look to defend their home field on Friday against Heritage at 7:00 p.m. As for Wake Forest, they will head out on the road to face off against Garner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in North Carolina (Garner is ranked 76th, while Wake Forest is ranked 67th).
