Basketball Game Preview: Pleasanton Eagles vs. Carrizo Springs Wildcats

The Pleasanton Eagles will head out to challenge the Carrizo Springs Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pleasanton has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with three straight losses, while Carrizo Springs will come in with seven straight victories.

It was a Battle of the Birds when Pleasanton took on Hondo on Saturday. Pleasanton received a blow as they fell 44-29 to Hondo.

Meanwhile, Carrizo Springs strolled past KIPP Somos Collegiate with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 58-42.

Carrizo Springs found their leader in sophomore Melanie Davila, who went 8 of 12 on her way to 16 points and six steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrea Rangel, who posted seven points in addition to eight assists and six boards.

Pleasanton now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Carrizo Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a massive bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Pleasanton didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Carrizo Springs in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 42-37 win.
